柯明简历

柯明，1980年生于中国黄石，2005年毕业于湖北美术学院油画系，2005—2007年学习于慕尼黑美术学院。期间作为志愿者支教于云南省师宗县。曾就职湖北美术馆、山河建设集团，现就职于武汉合美术馆。目前生活于武汉、北京，以个人艺术创作和艺术管理工作为主。

柯明自述

艺术家是人类的精灵、社会的知者和时代的觉者。因为，他们大多具备瞬间打通左脑与右脑进行平行思维和创造性思维的能力。同时，他们具备了熟练把握某种艺术种类的艺术语言和技巧。所以我认为：一个好的艺术家生来要像鸟一样来到这个世界，不要为了觅食和生存去飞翔，因为大自然已经为它们准备了最好的食物，而应该为了传播种子和带来悦耳的乐音而存在！

于我而言：我的艺术作品越来越不局限于某种材料和艺术形式，一切我能驾驭的都可以，油画、装置、观念影像等等。我所关注的是对当下人的人文关怀和社会深层问题的批判思考，以及对大自然的敬畏之心。

Resume of Ke Ming

Ke Ming, born in 1980 in Huangshi, Hubei,China,entered oil painting department in Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 1999, andgraduated in 2005. During this period, he taught in Shizong County, Yunanprovince, as a volunteer in 2004 to support local education. Ke studied inMunich Academy of Fine Arts from 2005 to 2007. He used to work in Hubei Museumof Art, Shan He Construction Group Co., Ltd and now works in Wuhan United ArtMuseum. Ke currently lives in Wuhan and Beijing, and is mainly engaged inartistic creation.

Personal Statement of Ke Ming

Artists are the elves among human beings,the knower of the society and the senser of the time. Because, most of them havethe ability to instantly link the left brain with the right to conduct parallelthinking and creative thinking. At the same time, they are equipped with theart language and skills to master certain kind of art. Therefore, I considerthat a good artist should originally arrive at the world like a bird, flyingnot for food or survival because the nature has already prepared the best foodfor them, but for spreading seeds and bringing musical sound.

For me, my art works have increasingly gonebeyond certain material or form of art and can be presented through any formthat I can master, such as oil painting, installation and conceptual image.What I am concerned about is the critical thinking about the humanistic concernof the present people and the deep problems in the society as well as therespect for the nature.
