左义林简介 1968年生，1991年毕业于西北师范大学美术系，2000年和2015年先后研修于中央美术学院。现为兰州城市学院美术学院院长，教授。 2015、2016、2017三年连续受聘国家艺术基金管理中心项目初评和复评专家，中国教育部高教司精品课程专家库专家，甘肃省教育厅学校艺术教育指导委员会委员，甘肃省城市发展研究院院务委员，甘肃省工艺美术常务理事。长期以来致力于高等美术教育事业，专注于应用研究和美术创作。近两年来，作品追求从表现西部田园牧歌式的写实油画作品逐步向抽象表现主义转变。并开始策划和主持相关当代艺术活动。
